Yourself
========
1. What is your name?
Cybernet3000. Or CybNt3k for short. Some people call me cybernet, I've heard
Cybs a few times and Cyber is ok, as long as I'm not confused with someone else.
Cybernet3000 was a name I came up with many many moons ago when I first got
my own e-mail address. I was determined at the time that if I was going to put
a number on my name, it would make sense and not be like *my name*874 signifying
that 873 other people chose that name first. So finally I came up with Cybernet,
since I really was into the whole "cyberspace" thing at the time.
Then I put 2000 at the end, cus back then thats what you did to make everything
seem futuristic. But after some thought, I realized that the millenium was only
a few years away, and then the name would sound silly. So I upped it to 3000.
And it has more or less stuck ever since.
2. What is your email address?
It's on this site somewhere.
3. Are you male or female?
I'm male, but I do have a minor effeminate side to me. Not a big one, I'm
not a swishy queen, but it's there.
4. How old are you? / What is your date of birth?
January 14, 1987. And since people on the net seem to show an inability to
do math, that makes me 17
5. Where do you live?
Northern Alberta, Canada.
6. What are your interests/hobbies?
Drawing (Specially Manga/Anime and Furry), Writing fictional prose, reading,
playing video games, watching movies, listening to music, lounging around, and
surfing, chatting, downloading, streaming and all that stuff associated with
the Net.
7. What do you do for a living?
Ask my parents for food. And do time as a Cashier at a local grocery store.
Go me.
8. How would you describe your personality?
Predominantly Eccentric, Incidentally Normal
Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving, if you know Myers-Briggs
Very shy, and quite introverted. I have a hard time meeting people, but I
love making friends. Which is often difficult. Because I have a hard time meeting
people. See, I'm crazily afraid of being rejected.
I'm very friendly though, and (I think) a great guy to be with. I have a good
sense of humour, am extremely loyal (once we're truly friends, I'll be there
for you no matter what) and except for the occasionaly moment of mild depression,
I'm a very fun kitten to be with.
9. Do you believe in ESP? Do you consider yourself to be psychic?
Not sure about ESP, nor about the psychic. I'm open to the possibility though.
There have been several times where've I've gone somewhere and the first thing
that comes to my mind is, "Someone died here." I've never yet been
wrong.
10. Are you a meat eater?
Yes.
Furry media
===========
11. Who are your favourite furry characters?
Martin Miller from Circles; Ozy and Millie; Sabrina from Sabrina Online; Simba
and Nala; Mrs. Frisby, Justin and Nicodemus; Tails; Ratchet; Kimahri; Robin
Hood from Disney's Robin Hood; Sabrewulf; Butch and Lou (Cats and Dogs); Shade
Silverwing and Marina Brightwing; Donkey from Shrek; Fox McCloud; Scrat (Crazy
Squirrel from Ice Age), Howie and Chester (Bunnicula)
12. What type of furry artwork do you enjoy viewing?
Mostly Anime/Manga style, and a fantasy and/or sci-fi theme, but I'm open
to almost anything as long as its not too distorted or crazified. I especially
love Bishounen, which are anime pretty boys. They're not overly muscular, but
they're very sexay. Think the guys from Final Fantasy. Except most FF characters
aren't furry. Oh well.
And I don't mind yiffy work, but of course I favour male homoerotic pieces over heterosexual pieces. And no micro/macrophelia,
please.
13. What type of furry literature do you enjoy reading?
Action and Adventure usually, with lots of stuff going on, fighting and action.
I really like Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy again. I'm also really big on thrillers,
especially techno thrillers. Funny books like the Bunnicula series are really
appreciated every now and then. And books about cats in real life, like the
Cat Who series.
Erotic lit is ok, but I don't go for the purely yiff stories whose sole purpose
is to get the reader off. I want plot/character development, even if it is as
thin as the text its printed in.
14. What types of furry media do you create?
Occasinally I draw furry stuff, but I mostly write.
15. What types of animal/furry themed decorations adorn your living space?
Many many printouts. And as I find more artwork I like, the number of said
printouts will increase. I also hope to get some posters. I really want a circles
poster, among other things. A few plushies as well.
16. Describe your ideal plushie.
Feline, for starters. Big, second of all. Like I'm talking huge. Almost like
a chair. So I can sit in it and cuddle it, and such. It has to be soft, and
cuddly. And I prefer natural fur colours.
Costumes and collars
====================
17. Do you enjoy wearing fursuits and/or furry accessories?
Well I have a red collar, but I don't wear it very often. It was just one
of those things that I tried. I'd like to try a pair of ears and a tail though.
18. Do you feel 'furrier' when wearing a fursuit/collar/tail etc?
The collar doesn't really affect me at all. Can't speak about the rest of
the stuff.
19. Describe your favourite/ideal 'furry' appearance.
Can't really think of one, sorry.
Furriness
=========
20. What are your phenotype(s)?
Domestic cat. Black and White Shorthair.
21. How/when did you discover the identity/species of your phenotype?
Well I always knew I loved cats, but I didn't really get the specific species
until I found out exactly what furry was.
22. What conditions help you to enjoy/express your furriness?
Being with Midnight, my familiar. He's the same breed as I am, with very similiar
colouration, and I think he influenced my decision. Also being on the computer,
working on something furry or being with my furiends. And walking alone through
woodland.
23. How and when was your furriness first evident?
It was for the most part always evident. My extreme attachment to cats, my
mimicking their behaviour. I just didn't know what it was.
24. How much of your furriness is 'instinct' vs 'learnt'?
I'd say a lot of it is learnt. I taught myself cat behaviour and mannerisms
at a young age from studying books on cat pyschology and later Midnight. Somethings
though, like my cat stretch, is instinct but I think my realizing I was furry
subconsciously affected that.
25. How does your furriness influence your thoughts and emotions?
Well i'm totally curious. I have to check out everything... everything. And
I'm very nosey. I need to know what everyone is doing, which is a bit hypocritical
because I'm always getting upset when people start poking into my life. I also
have a more laid back approach to life now.
I hate to admit it, but I'm also a bit self centered at times, and quite a
often I act like I'm the most important person in the universe without realizing
it. "Dogs think they're human, cats think they're god."
And I tend to go along with the whole "Lord" and "God"
thing. As my Creative Writing teacher, "The Bodacious Goddess of Succulense"
said, if you're going to have delusions of grandeur you might as well go all
the way.
26. Has your furriness improved the quality of your life?
Without a doubt. It has greatly increased my self confidense, and even though
I still hesitate and wait before introducing myself to stangers, I have more
friends now then I ever have. And before I found furriness, I was going through
a big stage of depression. Now that seems to be over, for the most part.
27. What do you think caused your furriness?
Possibly being feline, or connected to a feline in some way, in a past life.
I originally discovered furry by mistake (fate?) when I was searching for
pictures and found a pic of Gerald from Associated Student Bodies. I was intrigued.
The whole "furry" aspect of it seriously intrigued me, as well as
the theme of growing up gay in a straight world, although at the time I wasn't
ready to admit to myself that I was gay.
Unfortunately, ASB held little for me. I couldn't read it, due to lack of
money and age. But a quick look around AlleyCat books and Rabbit Valley showed
me there was more "Furry" stuff out there. Pretty soon I found Yerf
and VCL, Furnation and Furtopia. I began drawing my own furry art, and even
though it was terrible, it occupied my mind and helped with my depression. Then
I found Rabbiting On by Loganberry, and it just hit me. This is me. And that's
how it started.
Acting furry
============
28. How does your furriness manifest itself externally?
Where do I start? I'd like to be able to purr, but I can't get it right, all
I end up with is a sore throat. Bloody irritating, I can't get the rolling "r"
sound AT ALL! It made learning French quite difficult, and then there were the
students running around saying, "Rrrroll up the rrrim to win!" and
I couldn't. If I'm angry, I'll hiss and do so often. I hiss at people who are
pissing me off, and bare my teeth sometiems. I haven't bit anyone, at least
not in anger. But I have swiped at people. I don't pounce, but if I'm really
pissed off, I initiate a piercing glare that lets the receiver know to back
off and shut up. I also through a fit if I fall in a puddle or get wet when
I'd rather be dry. Which is most of the time, I only get wet when I'm swimming
or showering.
Also, I have a total fascination for moving stuff. In autumn on a windy day,
I can often be found outside with a big grin as I watch totally captivated as
leaves go spinning around me. I can spend hours just watching a pendulum swing,
the blob of wax in a lava lamp or water trickle over stones.
29. Do you act furry in public?
Yes, but since apart from the strange sounds it's not that major a thing,
most pople don't notice it.
30. How does your furriness influence the way you interact with people?
It doesn't really.
31. How much control do you have over your furriness?
Total control, but I chose not to really control it and let it evolve.
Furry thoughts
==============
32. Would you become an animal/furry, if you -couldn't- change back?
If I could choose the species and appearance, and wasn't the only one doing
it... then yes! Absolutely, totally, where do I sign and where do I queue?
33. Describe your ideal physical form.
An anthropomorphic shorthair, mostly black with a white chest and neck, which
extends up to a patch that encircles my left eye. Medium-short hair, slighlty
spiked, dyed a bright red. Blue eyes. Some red stripes near the tip of my tail,
which is long and thin.
In terms of clothes, I wear a lot of khakis, and t-shirts or button up short
sleeved shirts. For jewlery I have a spiffy digital watch attached to my belt
or hanging from around my neck (depending on my mood) and a large collection
of necklaces, which I change from day to day. Most of them are celtic knots
or deities. I also have a few pentacles and such. And I always wear a pair of
celtic wristbands, one on each wrist, which are made of a series of celtic knots.
These wristbands aren't just for decoration.
34. What kind of furry, non-sexual fantasies do you have?
Agility. Being able to leap from high place to high place, and scramble vertically
around. I also wish I had a tail, and if I couldn't fully transform to furry
I'd at least settle for a tail (Like Zidane from FF9). Cat's express themselves
so much with their tailed, from the curious perk to the annoyed twitch.
